WELCOME TO LANGHOLM CRICKET CLUB At this year’s AGM Langholm’s application to join the EVCL was met with universal approval. After an impressive presentation from Duncan Elliott there was a unanimous vote in favour of approving the request. So, after the boundaries were stretched westward in recent years to include Keswick and Cockermouth, the emphasis has turned northwards, crossing the border into Scotland. In Duncan’s address he commented “We have recently carried out £40,000 worth of improvements on our pavilion and are looking to extend further. Visiting teams will receive great hospitality and if they would like to make a day of it and stay for a social event in the evening then they will be most welcome.” For a full press report of the meeting, and AGM minutes, go to the news page. |
